Mauro Announces His Run for Senate
Eddie Mauro believes that Washington will continue to be broken as long as Joni Ernst is representing the people of Iowa in the US Senate. And he adds that it is high time for some changes.
This Democrat from Des Moines made the news after announcing that he would be running for the Democratic nomination on Monday. His plan is to go against Ernst next year. As for Mauro’s accomplishments, he is a former teacher, business owner, and baseball coach at Dowling Catholic.
What’s more, Mauro launched his campaign on Monday morning during a visit to Carroll. While there, he stated that he used to visit this city as a child and spend his summers on a farm. As a part of his campaign, he will visit Ames, Fort Dodge, and Des Moines.
Before this, he ran for Congress in Iowa’s 2nd District. However, he was not able to prevail over Cindy Axne. She defeated David Young in the general election in the end. As for Mauro, he is not the only Democrat to run. Earlier this month, Kimberly Graham joined the race.
