Governor Reynolds Addresses the New Right of Way Legislation
Governor of Iowa, Kim Reynolds, signed new legislation on May 10. The legal document explains the right of way and the fees which local government can collect from public utilities.
Association of Business and Industry (ABI) supported the legislation which ensured that the government did not collect fees from businesses that were not maintaining the right of way. Governor Reynolds also signed two other alcohol bills which elaborate on canned cocktails and address the penalties, licenses, deliveries of alcoholic beverages, and requirements of home-brewing facilities.
The State is also addressing the issues of mortgaged distilling facilities and opportunities for the owners to abate the properties.
